Self defense Against the Opponent

Self Defense and Fighting Back against the Opponent in our Head! 

Our minds have a naturally built in mechanism to protect us. We have this mechanism mentally built in to tell us when to back off. It is a tool to help us survive, to protect us from failure, from pain and suffering.

Our minds however, also have these seeds planted in us by an accumulation of our society, by our experiences and our environment. This is the baggage of our lives.  It is a seed planted by our society of “good enough”,  “its okay”,  “stop here mindset,” “quit”.

I grew once that I realized these seeds were planted by everything that surrounded me from childhood to today in my life.  That seed was planted by my life of good, bad and neutral experiences, by my environments, by my culture, my friends, by my school, by my teachers, my mentors, yes by my loving family and my not so loving family.

Example, our parents in most cases meant that best for us but even caring and loving parents did “Plant” seeds of weaknesses, the seeds of negativity, maybe of hate, the seeds of good enough and settling in life, the seeds of acceptance, the seeds of quitting, the seed to stop and seeds to giving up when faced with challenge.   Then the seed to rationalize that BS and accept it as truth and that it is good for us.

We must learn to exceed that point.  Stop listening to that voice.   Push – Push even if it is simply a little bit more. We must put ourselves in situations to train past that point of that mindset and voice.  To Train ourselves to now react that when our mind says it is time to stop, to quit, to hold back, to say no, shut up, and to override it. We are more than that point. that that voice pops in is a point of weakness not a strength. It is a loss not a win.   You have to override it and push beyond it and that ingrained comfort zone and your acceptance and stopping point.

Push another 5% the next time your mind tells you it’s acceptable to stop and ways to put up the safety net. Train to that point to exceed that point and your reaction becomes an extra push to override that weak voice.  Go past that point.  Reach to go past it 5%, maybe then increase it to 7%, 10% 20% 30%. etc.

Your potential is greater than your current mindset can accept.

I know I am much more than I give myself credit for and I know after 38 years of teaching and mentoring that YOU are so much more than what you give yourself credit for. Start now – start right now push past that point – even if only 5%  — Be more!
